What is Honoured by the “Praktissima”? |

The German National Association of Mother’s Centres began in 2000 to make an annual presentation of the “Praktissima” prize to exceptional Mothers Centres. This award is made possible by the material and moral support of the “Stiftung Apfelbaum” (“Apple Tree Foundation”). It is not spectacular actions which stand in the spotlight of this commendation, but the creative, innovative and practical shaping of everyday life in the mother’s centre, always related to the particular annual theme of the prize. |

The Nominations for this year’s Praktissima open now and close on 31. 05. 2009.
This year’s motto is:
Handcraft of Public Relations - How is the showcase of the Mother Centre (contents, conception, subjects?)

The award happens at 30./ 31. January in the Multi-Generation-House in Düsseldorf. We will report soon.

The “Honorary Praktissima” is awarded at irregular intervals. This prize distinguishes persons who have rendered outstanding services to the mother’s centres. In June 2008 the Federal Minister for Family Affairs Ursula von der Leyen was honoured with this award at the SOS mother’s centre in Salzgitter.
